The Cardinal Gibbons Male and Female Athlete of the Year awards recognize some of the top athletes of their sports in the school. This award has been going on for decades and is sought after by athletes.
For the men’s award, the nominees were Conor Riely, who was nominated for his achievements in tennis, Ryan Thompson, who was nominated for his achievements in wrestling, and Cameron Tarkenton who is committed to the University of North Carolina for baseball.
Tarkenton earned the award by having great sports achievements, immense dedication, and being a top athlete.
The women’s award nominees were Nikki Nixon, who was nominated for being a top swimmer, Adriana Ensani, who was a top field hockey player, and Genevieve Harris, who graduated early after being committed to Texas volleyball.
Harris earned this award by being a top volleyball player.
