The boys and girls lacrosse teams both began their playoff pushes in their own fashion. Scoring 19 goals against an in-conference team.
Girls lacrosse played Sanderson in the second round winning 19-3. Jane Bailey Ward had seven points to help lead the Crusaders to victory and Claire Kimel had five ground balls and seven caused turnovers proving dominant on the defensive side. Next round the Crusaders will play Wake Forest on Tuesday, another in-conference team for lacrosse.
The boys lacrosse team beat Cary 19-0. Treyton McMahon led the team with three goals and faceoff specialist Luke Strother had 12 ground balls along with a 100% faceoff win rate.
On Tuesday the boys will play another in-conference lacrosse team in Heritage. The lacrosse teams have both had great starts to their playoffs and hope to continue their success.
