The girls soccer team has made a dominant statement in their first two playoff games. They are a team to be reckoned with. With a 8-0 second round win over Riverside and a 4-2 win over Wake Forest, the girls have put themselves in the fourth round against a tough Heritage team.
In the game against Riverside so many goals were scored, but seniors Sophia Juhasz and Ashley Gilbert led in goals with a pair each. The Crusaders were able to get three different goalies minutes while still posting a shutout.
Against Wake Forest in the second round it was Juhasz again who led with two goals. Layla Murphy and Kate Sheehan also added goals to secure the 4-2 win.
On Thursday the girls will host Heritage in what will be a rematch from the beginning of the season. Gibbons took the win over Heritage in the first meeting 2-1. Heritage is a very skilled team with an impressive (22-3) record.
This game will not be one to miss and will be a must win for the Crusaders.
