Baseball Makes Second Semi-Finals Appearance in Three Years

Another huge win for the baseball team has propelled them to the state semi-finals. On Friday, the Crusaders travelled to South Central High School and pulled out a 6-4 win. This win over the No. 2 seed will bring the Crusaders to their second semi-finals in three years.

In the semi-finals the Crusaders will play new conference rival Holly Springs who are the No. 5 seed and beat D.H. Conley 4-3.

Cam Tarkenton pitched a complete game striking out eight batters and earning the win. Great pitching will definitely be a huge factor in earning a trip to the state championship.

This season, the Crusaders are (1-1) against Holly Springs beating them 9-1 in their first outing and losing 5-1 in the next outing.

It will be interesting to see how these teams will fare in a best two out of three game series, but it is almost certain that the Crusaders will be dominant.
