The boys tennis team is one step closer to the championship after beating the No. 11 seed South Central High School. In this 5-1 win, the boys were dominant after being defeated in the first match, the boys never looked back and won every match after.
In Maxpreps, junior Max Smith was named the player of the match. In his match, he won the first set 6-1 and the second 6-2.
This was another dominant outing for the boys tennis team. In the next round, they will play the No. 7 seed New Hanover High School at home on Tuesday. Due to many matches being rained out in the east side of the bracket, they will need to catch up with the west where the semi-finals are already set.
The winner of the match will move on to play the winner of D.H. Conley and Sanderson in the semi-finals.
