The spring state playoffs are ominous and all of our teams are focused to be the top teams in the state. With some teams looking to repeat and some looking to capitalize on past playoff runs, here is everything you need to know about the playoffs for boy’s tennis.
The boy’s tennis team has done an outstanding job this year. After going undefeated in-conference, they look to close out this season with a state championship win.
The team is looking to win their ninth state championship, and first since 2014. Gibbons has been named the three seed and will play Wake Forest. The first round took place on April 27, the second round will take place on April 29, the third round will be on May 4, and the fourth round will be on May 12. Regionals will take place on May 12. The state championship matches will be played at Burlington Tennis Center on May 15-16.
