Silent Night: Hoops and Holiday Spirit

It’s time to kick off the holiday season with Silent Night at Cardinal Gibbons High School! This festive indoor basketball event consists of an amazing night filled with basketball, holiday cheer, delicious food, music, and fun. Silent Night also features four thrilling games, including the JV and varsity boys’ and girls’ basketball teams. Do not miss this tradition of combining basketball and the spirit of Christmas!

Silent Night’s quad game starts with JV Girls vs Millbrook at 3:30 p.m. with JV Boys versus NRCA following at 4:45 p.m. Varsity games begin with girls versus Millbrook at 6 p.m. and boys versus NRCA at 7:30 p.m. Prayer and caroling at the Nativity takes place at 6:15 p.m. and the Choral & Wind Ensemble concert after at 7 p.m.

Silent Night is a time to connect with others and embrace the joy of the upcoming holiday season. As one parent put it, “If we hadn’t had this last year, I don’t know if I’d have ever known the other basketball parents.” This event brings people together while also supporting the school community.

Over the years, Silent Night has developed traditions that make it a must-attend event. From decorating buses Polar Express theme, to boys wrestlers dressing up as Santa and his reindeer, and gifting toys to charity.
