Over the course of her time at Gibbons, Jacinda’s leadership skills have shined through her involvement at our in-house coffee shop, Holy Grounds.
After taking a business class her junior year, she began working at Holy Grounds with Mrs. Taylor who has been pleasantly surprised with Jacinda’s hard-work and initiative to run the coffee shop.
“She sees when I need help. She comes during community time, even when she’s not on the schedule,” said Taylor.
She’s become a strong mentor for the underclassmen working at Holy Grounds, teaching them the ropes of how to make drinks and how to work under pressure.
Thanks to her ingenuity, Holy Grounds made $150 in the first month of serving her drink, Peach Paradise.
Her help and dependability has been invaluable to Mrs. Taylor, and those new to Holy Grounds.
Her forward thinking and conscientiousness has not only helped to grow the business side of the coffee shop, but the community aspect as well, uniting the Gibbons students through a shared love of specialty drinks.
