Welcome to the Family, Class of 2029!

Welcome to the Family, Class of 2029!

The cheers erupted throughout the bleachers as the cheerleading team ran out of the gym.

The energy was high, and chatter filled the room. The bleachers were packed, with people spilling out of all the doors.

On Wednesday, March 12, Gibbons held their annual freshman acceptance night. Looking around, more than half of the faces were unfamiliar.

Eighth-graders were encouraged to venture into our community to experience a glimpse of the family that Gibbons provides.

Each year, this event evolves for the better.

Everyone who attends sees the cheer and dance teams perform and listens to current students share their memories.

This year, new students received a goodie bag, a Class of 29’ shirt, and a sign to put in their front yard.

“This is one of my favorite events of the year. I always get so excited seeing the future of our school on this night,” said Charlee Monroe, Enrollment Associate.

This occasion is meant to be a way to meet new people and get excited for the next four years of your life.

Cardinal Gibbons is a family, and the Class of 2029 has now officially been welcomed into it.
