The spring musical this year is in the works…Shrek, the Musical! 

Students and staff have been working hard to make this musical come together, with opening night coming up on March 28.

Kevin Ferguson, the  drama department co-chair, says that Shrek was chosen to be the spring musical this year because it could be cast well, and it’s something that audiences can be excited about.

Shrek is an iconic story known by many people, and the musical is packed with great music, songs, and lively choreography.

The cast and production features a talented group of students who bring incredible energy, passion, and dedication to their roles.

The directors have been working on something challenging, putting their own spin on the musical, while maintaining the original material.

“We are doing our own thing with this show — we aren’t just trying to recreate the movie onstage. We’ve decided to go in a completely different direction with the production, and tell the story in a unique and theatrical way,” said Mr. Ferguson.

If you’re a Shrek fan or just want something to do this spring, this musical has something for everyone. The show is packed with clever humor and heartfelt moments.
