Club Spotlight: CREWsaders

There are many dance-related groups here at Gibbons, one of which being CREWsaders.

This is a club for any grade, and for anyone who might have a passion for dance, or for someone who just wants to try something new. It is a fun way to make friends, have fun, and try something new!

“[A] Fun, a friendly environment, and welcoming,” said Charlotte Harrison when describing it.

“Fun, unique, and not like other clubs,” said Avery Munson.

Both Harrison and Munson are former members. Attempts to reach current members were not answered.

This club does things around our community, like performing at pep rallies. The pep rally we have near the beginning of the year is a very important event for the school. The whole school gathers on the field, and multiple groups do fun activities for people to watch.

When Harrison was asked how they prepare for these things, she said, “We would practice in the morning, we’d get together with our groups and we’d practice and go over stuff.”

“We practiced in the morning before the pep rally, just to make sure we know spacing and everything,” Munson said.

There were many memories made between this group of dancers. Through practices, and meet ups before school, they all had a lot of fun together.

“My favorite memory is probably just dancing. It was so much fun when we played together,” Munson said.

“I liked when we were rehearsing, cause it was always a lot of fun and chaotic. Just getting to hangout and dance was always a good time for us,” Harrison said.

Overall this seems like a fun, and welcoming environment for anyone who’d like to dance, and it seems like a good way to make friends through something so many people love.
