The holidays are creeping up, and Thanksgiving is right around the corner. While you may be getting excited about turkey and mashed potatoes, remember to take a moment and remember who we should thank for this blessed season.
During this time of giving thanks we must remember the importance of making our faith a priority. One way to do this is by going to mass.
The word eucharist comes from the Greek word eucharistia, which translates to thanksgiving. By going to mass and receiving the eucharist, we can show our gratitude and thanks to God for the sacrifices made that allow us to enjoy thanksgiving.
“A lot of the saints would agree that everything good that you have comes from God… think about what has God given me, friends that have come into my life, other people that have come into my life, teachers and coaches that have been there for me, and even spiritual experiences,” Fr. Luke Rawicki said.
Fr. Luke encourages students to take the time over break to reflect on the blessings God has given and thank Him for all He has done for us in the past year.
This Thanksgiving hold your loved ones close and remember to give thanks to God for the things He has provided you, big or small.
Happy Thanksgiving Crusaders!
