Delaney Posehn
Class of 2025 | Women’s Lacrosse | Meredith College
Delaney Posehn is a senior goalie on the Cardinal Gibbons women’s lacrosse team. Posehn is currently committed to continue her academic and athletic career at Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina. Throughout her high school career, Posehn has won a Women’s 4A State Championship all three of her seasons and will be competing for a fourth championship in a row this season.
Posehn sought out Meredith College because of “The amazing academics, opportunities, and campus. As for the athletics, the team has won the conference championship 10 years in a row and values team bonding.”
Above all, the most important factor in Posehn’s decision was that the school provides amazing academics. Other factors included a small campus size, a very supportive and professional coach, and a very well-bonded team. One thing that was helpful for Posehn during her recruiting process was that she was told to stay active and consistent when communicating with college coaches. Posehn encourages fellow student-athletes to stay consistent with and to not procrastinate their recruitment.
Posehn’s decision has prepared for the future by giving her many opportunities to look into majors for future career options.
Posehn is most excited to join some of her fellow classmates on Meredith’s women’s lacrosse team. Good Luck, Delaney!
