Book Club
The book club, another constant at Gibbons, has continued to grow its reach in the student body and the community this year. Setting a fast-paced goal of a book a month, the club met every other Wednesday in order to discuss through jeopardy and other online quizzes. One of their biggest accomplishments was a school wide book drive in February, donating used books to WAKE Up and Read Raleigh to support children’s literacy. In order to expand its reach within the school the club also hosted a book themed Easter egg hunt, a tradition they’re bound to continue. The book club has come a long way towards promoting reading to everyone and it will be fun to see what they have in store for next year.
If you would like to get involved for next year, contact moderator Mrs. Ingraham in the library.
